The Allu-Konidela family is a descendant of the Palakollu and Mogalthuru villages in West Godavari district, India’s state of Andhra Pradesh. Chiranjeevi married Sureka, daughter to Allu Ramalingaiah. She is also the sister of Telugu film producer Allu Aravind. They have three children, Srija, Sushmitha, and Ram Charan. Allu Rama Lingaiah
Born in 1922 and a Padma Shri recipient in 1952, Dr Allu Rama Lingaiah starred in more than a thousand films, most of them in comic roles. Films like Missyamma and Muthyala Muggu, Sankarabaranam, and others are still memorable for cinephiles. Rama Lingaiah was the father of four children – Allu Aavind, Surekha Konidela and Vasantha Lakshmi.
Bharathi and Vasantha chose to remain out of the spotlight, while Allu Aravind rose to prominence as a distributor and producer of films in Tollywood. Geetha Arts was founded by him in 1972. It started with small-budget films, but grew to produce blockbuster movies like Ghajini, which stars Aamir Khan.
In 1980, Surekha married Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad. If you don’t recognize the name, it belonged to Megastar Chiranjeevi who is one of Telugu cinemas most prominent stars. She is the link between Allu and Chiranjeevi families.

Allu Venkatesh, Allu Arjun and their father Allu Aravind made their acting debuts in 1985 as child artistes in Vijetha. The film starred their uncle Chiranjeevi and was produced and directed by Allu Aravind. Venkatesh was in the only film where he acted. Arjun continued to act in many more films. His younger brother Allu Sirish also acts in south Indian films. His last release was 1971: Beyond Borders, with Mohanlal.

Sushmita Konidela, his sister is a talented stylist and costume designer. She is responsible for Chiranjeevi’s elegant look in Khaidi No.150, as well as many other films. Nagendra Babu and Pawan Kalyan
Both Chiranjeevi’s brothers Pawan Kalyan (and Nagendra Babu) are actors. Nagendra Babu was a supporting role in films, and he currently appears in TV series. Pawan Kalyan has a huge fan following. His style and philosophy, which he calls ‘Pawanism’, is almost like a religion to his followers. In 2014, he founded the Jana Sena Party.

Akira Nandan Konidela was born in 2004 and Aadhya Konidela was born in 2010. Both were raised together by Renu Desai. Renu Desai’s directorial debut was with Marathi film Ishq Wala Love.
