The second round of qualifiers for America’s Got Talent (AGT) Season 17 were featured on an episode that aired on NBC on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 8:00 pm ET. Who is AGT contestant Aiko Tanaka?

Aiko was born in Tokyo and was raised by a single mother. She is a stand-up comedian, actor, and TV personality. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift marked the beginning of the AGT contestant’s career in film. She also took part in Finishing The Game, Justin Lin’s parody documentary on Bruce Lee’s final motion picture.

She has also been on numerous other television programs, such as Comedy Central Stand-Up Asia! Live, The Howard Stern Show, and The Jim Jeffries Show. The competitor had also given stand-up performances in a variety of settings, such as jails and naval bases.

Aiko is one-fourth Korean and three-quarters Japanese. The AGT competitor has additionally been on Laughs, a half-hour comedy series, and in a number of music videos for various musicians. She started her career as a catalog and commercial ad model while still in elementary school, and then she came to America to pursue a career in acting.

She put on a special called I Do My Own Stunts for tonight’s episode. She cracked jokes about her self-help books, social ineptitude, English language struggles, and Japanese accent. Fans weren’t impressed, despite the fact that the judges praised her performance and Howie Mandel gave it a standing ovation.

There were 54 performers selected to perform live in the qualification round at Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Only ten contenders and a wildcard will advance to the final round after the qualifying rounds, which are scheduled to last for three more weeks. Which of the Top 2 performers will perform in tonight’s finale will be determined on tomorrow’s episode.
