How Did Savannah Paschal Die?

Savannah Kinchen’s parents, Michael and Shirley Kinchen, welcomed her into the world in August of 1990 in Pasadena, Texas. As a child, she kept herself busy by engaging in a variety of sports and activities, including gymnastics, swimming, dancing, and riding horses. The woman, who was 30 years old, was said to be kind, compassionate, and helpful, and she had a soft spot for stray and abandoned animals. She was a student at the Commonwealth School of Mortuary Science in Texas at the time of the incident, and she was scheduled to graduate in May of 2021.

In addition to this, Savannah had been married to Trent Paschal, and the couple had two children together: a son and a daughter. On October 21, 2020, the authorities were required to make a hasty trip to the residence of the Paschal family in La Marque. Shirley Kinchen discovered her daughter Savannah motionless in the bedroom. Savannah had been in there for some time. She suffered two gunshot wounds to the abdomen, both of which ultimately proved to be deadly; the young mother was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital after being taken there for treatment of her injuries.

Who Killed Savannah Paschal?

Shirley Kinchen, who was there in the home at the time the assault took place, immediately stated that the perpetrator of the crime was Savannah’s husband, Trent. It was brought to her attention that Trent had been hiding in the toilet of the main bedroom before suddenly emerging and threatening to kill both her and Savannah. Shirley was able to get away from the house, and she had just started running when she heard two bullets being fired. While Trent was gone, Shirley went to get something to eat and when she returned later she found her daughter bleeding on the floor. After that, Trent was located in Houston, Texas, where he put up a fight against being taken into custody. He was ultimately killed after being accused of pulling a gun on a police officer at the moment, during which he was shot.

After that, Trent was transported to the hospital, where he remained for a significant amount of time while recovering. In the interim, the authorities came across evidence that assisted them in comprehending the reasons behind the shooting that had place. They were informed by a neighbor that on the morning of the incident, he had witnessed Trent and Savannah arguing, and that following the argument, Trent had left the house. After that, Savannah walked to the house of a nearby neighbor before coming back with her mother. The authorities were under the impression that Trent had been waiting for them in the stall of the nearby bathroom.

Shirley later revealed that her daughter had informed Trent that she was unable to continue living with him due to the fact that he was a repeat offender. Despite the fact that Trent had previous accusations of stealing, he had never been accused of anything aggressive until that day. Additionally, the investigators discovered a video that Trent had filmed and then uploaded to YouTube. In it, he told his daughter that he loved her and that he was proud to be her father. In another portion of the video, Trent mentioned Savannah by saying, “I knew she was kind of too young. I didn’t, and she’s been taking advantage of me all along. I warned her not to tamper with me, not to interfere with my feelings, and she ignored my warnings. Please don’t make fun of me.

Trent also asserted that he overheard Savannah discussing a sexual fantasy with another man while they were on the phone together. A video that was purportedly obtained by one of the neighbors shows Trent chatting with Savannah’s aunt and confessing to shooting his wife. The footage was recorded by one of the neighbors. After posting bond and being released from jail in April 2021, Trent removed the ankle monitor that had been attached to him while he was in custody and then went to a dealership in Houston selling automobiles. There, Trent is said to have asked for a test drive, and afterward, he is accused of threatening the salesman with a gun and forcing him out of the vehicle before driving away in it.

How Did Trent Paschal Die?

A tip was given to the authorities around the end of the year 2021, indicating that Trent, who was 48 years old at the time, was residing in an RV park in Ocala, Florida. At that point, he had been on the run for perhaps in the neighborhood of nine months and a little over. Therefore, on December 31, 2021, the authorities went to the park and demanded that Trent come out of the van that he was living in at the time. However, they heard a gunshot, and when they went to check on him later, they discovered that he had shot himself in the head.

Even though Trent had already broken two of the conditions of his bond, the judge did not revoke his release from custody before he fled the area with two firearms in his possession. Shirley was of the opinion that the system was ineffective, and she asked, “Did I want him to be held accountable for his actions?” Did I have the courage to meet his gaze and force him to confront me once more with the consequences of his actions? Yes. Do you feel bad that he is no longer a part of this world? No.”
