Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan bin Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan was born on 20 November 1970. He is the deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, besides being a minister of presidential affairs. Mansour is the half brother of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the current President of the UAE. Apart from this, he is also the chairman of the ministerial council for services.

He has a stake in many businesses, which include Virgin Galactic and Sky News Arabia. Mansour is also the owner of Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG). The company acquired Manchester City Football Club in September 2008.

On the other hand, he is also the vice chairman of the Mubadala Development Company. Mansour bin Zayed was appointed chairman of the presidential office in 1977. He was chosen by his eldest half brother, Khalifa II as first minister of presidential affairs of the United Arab Emirates after his father’s demise.

Mansour bin Zayed, his father Zayed II, was the first president of UAE. He was named chairman of the presidential offices in 1997. His eldest half-brother Khalifa II appointed him as the first minister of presidential affairs in the United Arab Emirates. This is the merger between the presidential office, presidential court and the presidential office. To support his brother Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, he also held a variety of positions in Abu Dhabi.

Mansour is the chairman of the Emirates horse racing authority and is an excellent horse rider who has won multiple endurance racing tournaments conducted in the Middle East. Mansour also serves as the head of the authority. He is a devoted fan of Arabian horse racing and serves as the patron of the Zayed International Half Marathon, which is held once per year in Abu Dhabi.

He currently serves as the chairman of the Al Jazira sports group and was a pivotal element in Abu Dhabi’s successful bid to host the FIFA Club World Cup in 2009 and 2010. The Al Jazira Club is a multi-sport facility that hosts competitions in basketball, handball, volleyball, and football.
