DMK chief M Karunanidhi, one of the foremost Dravidian politicians in modern times, expired on Tuesday after having a grim struggle for life aged 94.

Karunanidhi married three times. His first wife was Padmavathi , who died early. They had a son MK Muthu. Born in Thirukkuvalai, a little village in Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu, Karunanidhi started involving in politics at his 14th era by getting fully engaged in social moves.
