Canadian-born MMA competitor Elias Michael Theodorou was well-known for competing in the UFC Middleweight division. He was ranked in the 13th spot at the time of his UFC leave. Sadly, he is no longer with us. He passed away on September 11, 2022, from cancer.

Background

Greek-born Theodorou was reared in Mississauga, Ontario, and went to Meadowvale Secondary School. He overcame Tyler Manawaroa in the semifinals after defeating Zein Saliba in the quarterfinals. He traveled to Phuket Province, Thailand after the semifinals to train at Tiger Muay Thai with coach Patrick Côté.

On March 14, 2015, Roger Narvaez and Theodorou squared off at UFC 185. Death

Theodorou passed away on September 11, 2022, at the age of 34, from stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to the liver. He had been battling the illness for some years, but up until his passing, no one knew.
