Anne Heche, 53, of “Six Days, Seven Nights,” and Peter Thomas Roth, 64, made news when they were photographed holding hands at a Galerie magazine event for the opening of the Galerie House of Art and Design in early August 2021. Additionally, the couple was captured kissing in front of the cameras at the New York Fashion Week events in September 2021. According to a source who spoke to US Weekly at the time, “Peter and Anne met through common friends in the Hamptons and have been dating for about eight weeks.”
But at the time, a Heche representative told Page Six, “Anne is single and is loving meeting new people!” According to accounts, Heche was involved in a terrible car accident on August 5 that left her with severe burns. Heche hit a house with her car, starting a fire, getting serious burns, and eventually being brought to the hospital. Thomas Jane, Heche’s ex-boyfriend and former co-star, failed to pause to pay respects to Heche. Heche is “stable and expected to pull through,” Jane told Daily Mail.
Even though Anne and I are no longer together, the awful news from today devastated me and everyone who cares about her. Anne and her two sons have my deepest sympathies. Currently stable and anticipated to survive, Anne. Anne, who is one of the true talents of her time, is in my thoughts and prayers. God is good that none else was wounded,” Thomas Jane told Daily Mail. Heche and Jane had been friends for more than ten years and had co-starred as a divorced couple in the HBO series “Hung” with Jane. The couple made their relationship public toward the end of 2019.
Heche gained notoriety in the late 1990s when she made her relationship with renowned talk show host Ellen DeGeneres public. At the time, they were one of the few openly gay couples in Hollywood. The couple dated from 1997 to 2000, spending about three and a half years together.
Heche allegedly ended her relationship with DeGeneres for cameraman Coley Laffoon, whom she had met in 2000 while on a stand-up comedy tour with DeGeneres, and had married on September 1, 2001. Homer, a boy, was born to the former couple. After being married for five and a half years, Laffoon filed for divorce on February 2, 2007. March 4, 2009 marked the finalisation of the divorce.
Heche began dating actor James Tupper for ten years after her relationship with Laffoon ended. Heche’s agent announced on December 5, 2008, that the actress was expecting their son, who was both her and his first child.
Anne stated in a statement at the time that Tupper and Heche “had a lovely life together” before their separation in 2018. “We’re giving relationships the time they need to develop and adapt. We genuinely care for one another and want to raise our two adorable babies together.”
