The automobile that Anne Heche, the ex-girlfriend of Ellen DeGeneres, was driving collided with a house in Mar Vista, Los Angeles, on Friday, August 5.

In the impact of the collision, both the car and the house caught fire.

The accident was reported on Friday before 11 am, according to local reporting from NBC Los Angeles. The 1700 block of South Walgrove Avenue was the location of the incident, according to several local periodicals.

Heche was allegedly in serious condition and suffering from significant burn injuries when she was pulled from her automobile. The LAFD Paramedics took her urgently to a neighbouring hospital.

According to some sources, Anne Heche was allegedly travelling at high speeds in a blue Mini Cooper in the Mar Vista neighbourhood when she veered off the road and smashed into the 1766 Walgrove Avenue building after the vehicle may have struck a curb. This may also help to explain why the car drove straight into the house.

The front yard of the house was struck by the Mini Cooper. According to Fox 11, a neighbour managed to safely remove the homeowner and her pets from the burning residence.

According to reports, the actress was put on a stretcher before being carried to the ambulance while still breathing and aware. Doctors at the neighbourhood hospital were unable to determine whether this was a DUI (driving under the influence) case despite the fact that the accident as a whole is still being investigated. Due to her serious state, no such sobriety tests were performed at the time.

Prior to her mishap, Heche was reportedly seen hitting a garage in an apartment building, according to TMZ. The locals then tried to extricate the actress from her Mini Cooper. Prior to her second mishap, which resulted in her hospitalisation, she reversed and left the complex.

Everything we know about Anne Heche

The Emmy-nominated actress has been working in the business since 1987. She is best recognised for her parts in the 1997 films Volcano and I Know What You Did Last Summer.
