Sheikh Dhiyab bin Isa Al Nahyan ruled from 1761 to 1793. He was the founder of Al Bu Falah dynasty, which ruled the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Sheikh of the Bani Yas of the Liwa Oasis (Abu Dhabi emirate), Sheikh Dhiyab bin Isa Al Nahyan ruled from 1761 to 1793. He was the founder of Al Bu Falah dynasty, which rules the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). As a leader of Bani Yas tribal confederation, he decided to send a hunting party from Liwa in 1761. The party tracked a gazelle to a brackish spring, which later became the symbol of Abu Dhabi. Dhiyab ordered his son Shakbut to move to the island in 1793, wherein he went on to build a village of around 20 houses, along with a fort.
